Product Rant: PanOxyl

Posted by littlemisscurly at 5:35 AM 0 comments
Price: roughly around Php 100

It's supposed to treat acne. Make it smaller and smaller til it goes away. BUT IT DOESN'T! ...for me. I don't know about everyone else. I'm making my boyfriend try it and see how it works for him.

This is the PanOxyl Acne Gel 5% (specially made for moderate acne). 2% is for mild acne and 10% is for severe acne. I really believe I have moderate acne, so I bought this with excitement because I dread days of acne.

When I dabbed and slightly rubbed a small amount with a Q-tip, it's supposed to be gone after a day. It didn't go away! So I increased the frequency of use from just once a day (at night) to twice a day (morning and evening) and this resulted to burnt skin. Aaack! This is a nightmare T^T I used it again last night with the little acne on my forehead. I only used it at night, but doubled the amount of the gel. IT GOT WORSE! All my acne on my forehead were redder and more noticeable!

The horror.....

Now I really stopped using it and I don't know which solution should I try. Perhaps I won't try any of the brand's stuff anymore D: <heartaaachhee>

Stuff That I'd Love To Try

Posted by littlemisscurly at 8:53 AM 0 comments
Just a while ago, I went to the local drugstore Mercury Drug and checked out some skin products. There are numerous products in the drugstore, such as Pond's, Garnier, Nivea and Johnson and Johnson's. Right now, I am in need of some products cause I want to replace my old stuff. Either that or I have none of the stuff at all right now.

Powder

I've tried Pond's loose powder that comes in a bottle. It came in pink, blue and orange. Now, it's not being sold in the market. I really loved that loose powder because my face didn't break out of acne. I admit, I did some product switch from that to Maybelline's Clear Smooth pressed powder, in honey, which irritated my face (and I only noticed now T-T) So now, I'm looking for that loose powder my face loves so much.

I saw there was Pond's Perfect Matte Natural Sheer Pressed Powder and I thought, why not try this soon? It's the same brand as the powder I used before.. Perhaps it would give the same effect.

What about a brand that's safe for both adult and babies? I bet Johnson and Johnson has thought of the sensitive skin and formulated a perfect pressed powder for me?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any good loose powder in the drugstore. I saw a Luis and Pearl loose powder but I was afraid of the brand. So I checked Shang's trusty Korean make-up shop, The Faceshop and saw this Face & it Radiance Loose Powder. It was perfect - it was loose powder, the color matched my skin tone... but then when I looked at the price, DAMN. It's over Php 1,000! Agh, what a heartache...
Acne spots treatement

Yes, I suffer from acne spots due to pinching those little things. When I had a wound cause of that, I swore never to pinch anything on my face anymore. It's frustrating to look at those acne spots on my face because they really stand out. So I plan on buying an acne spot treatment, like Garnier's or Avon's.

Foot scrub

At least once in a while, the feet need pampering too. I haven't explored on the different brands of foot scrubs, but any would do, I guess. It's just that my feet are getting rough and needs proper exfoliating!

Brow definer

I'd prefer my brows colored in. My current brow definer does a lame job, though. Maybelline's brow definer colors in, but doesn't define my brows too well. Maybe it's the angled brush? Or the fact that some gel permanently sticks to the brush? I dunno. But might as well look for alternatives. Maybe Avon's would suffice.

Vitamin C Boost by The Body Shop

Huzzah! A cream to make dull skin more radiant! Eek! It's Php 600+ for a tiny bottle! T^T I will definitely invest in this thing.
More posts coming soon! ^-^

I vote for a natural look!

Posted by littlemisscurly at 7:44 PM 0 comments

I rarely use eye shadows and eyeliners everyday. I know some girls out there cannot live without these things, which give them an unnatural look. Look: nothing personal, but when people see you without make-up, they'll gasp and won't believe what they're seeing. Love your face! Don't let make-up be the highlight of your face. Let YOUR FACE be the highlight of your entire body. ;)

That's why you have to take care of your face if you want to pull off the natural look. A flawless face needs little coverage. Do whatever it takes to get rid of those acne and acne scars. Get rid of the puffy, dark eye bags. Even out your skin tone. And prevent blemishes from erupting.

Yes, I am in the process of doing all these. I don't have the face that I want - yet. But I rarely put heavy make-up. I don't mind if I have enough coverage. And you girls shouldn't too :)

Problem: Dark Under-eyes

Posted by littlemisscurly at 1:17 AM 0 comments
I have this problem of dark circles under my eyes, plus a little puffiness. I've made research about several brands in the local market and have tried a few things.

So far, I've tried this product for about a week. It's Avon's Solutions Plus Refined White Eye Cream. It promises improvement after 7 days. But then, I wasn't able to get rid of my dark circles. I'm going to give it more weeks to see if it really works. I use this twice a day, everyday, as it says in the back of the bottle.

Price: SRP is at Php 250. But I got this at a promo price of  Php 199.

If it doesn't work, I'm going to try this:

This is Pond's Flawless White Light Infusing Under-Eye Cream. It's an accessible product since it's widely distributed here where I live. I'm also using one of Pond's facial foam, cause I'm trying to get rid of my acne spots.

Price: Php 199. Same price as the promo price of Avon's!

I'm also experimenting on this product, Avon's Advanced Eye Perfector with Peptides. It promises that eye bags would diminish. I've been using this product for about 2 months now, twice a day, everyday. I think that my eye bags have diminished a little, but not fully. What I like about this is that it lasts a long time. I thought it would run out quickly, but it didn't. The results have to be waited until I finish the package.

Price: SRP Php 250. Got it at its promo price of Php 209.

I'll make sure I'll post a blog after I use the products. Bye for now! ^-^
